Computers Nationwide is a leading IT services and Technology company in the Chicago area, with offices in Vernon Hills, IL and Janesville, Wi. We are hiring a Sales Engineer to join our team in either the Vernon Hills location, or the Janesville, WI location. If you have prior experience as a Sales Engineering delivering solutions to IT customers, we have the position for you!

Responsibilities for Sales Engineer

  • Present products or services in the Information Technology industry that would be beneficial to our clients’ businesses
  • Plan detailed presentations that show clients your product info, pricing, and benefits
  • Develop products or program suggestions for clients
  • Work closely with Account Manager and Business Development Professionals in presenting and selling solutions
  • Manage or assist in the development of product requirements, product sourcing and proposal development
  • Meet with clients at appointments for sales presentations
  • Stay knowledgeable on updates in technology and how new products and services can benefit customers
  • Acquire new customers by winning them over from competitors and discovering new opportunities
  • Provide Engineering expertise and product knowledge in the development of comprehensive quotes for opportunities

Qualifications for Sales Engineer

  • Willingness and ability to travel to customer locations for discovery and sales presentations
  • Creativity to approach sales and build customer relationships in groundbreaking new ways
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Previous experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales
  • Solid experience in the IT Technology field
  • Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Computer proficiency and the ability to accurately enter data and generate reports
  • Prior experience in researching technology product specifications and pricing
  • Negotiation and social problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a high-stress sales environment and multitask

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
